*All Math homework will be part of the Eureka Math program, iReady practice sheets or teacher generated practice sheets. Students will be assigned a few problems to practice what was covered in class that day. The below schedule of homework may change throughout the week. Students are only required to do the circled problems.

Monday-"Telling Time" to the nearest 5 minutes

Tuesday-"Amounts Greater than $1.00" P167 #3-4 & P168 #2-5

Wednesday-"How many different ways to show $1.00?" **must show ways**

Thursday-"Lengths of Pencils in Room 63(in centimeters "cm")" #3,4,6,7,8

Friday-none

**Math**- This week students will work with various combinations of values of coins that equal the same value, and addition and subtraction strategies used to find the total value. Homework assignments will be reviewing and practicing concepts already learned to prepare for up coming Diagnostic #3 testing (iReady Math). They will be learning background knowledge on upcoming topics of money and time. **Vocabulary-added,number bond, ten frame, rename or bundle, partners to ten, benchmark number, more than (>), less than (<), equal (=), expanded form, place value, hundreds, tens, ones (units), bundling, unbundling, unit form(5 hundreds, 7 tens, 3 ones), standard form(573), written form(five hundred seventy-three), doubles, pairs, odd, even, arrays, rectangles, quarters, 24 hours=1 day(12 hours a.m./12 hours p.m.), 60 seconds=1 minute, 60 minutes=1 hour, 15 minutes=1 quarter of an hour(4 quarters=1 hour). For fluency practice (+,-, + & -) google search that's a fact (Harcourt...) usually first sight. Great practice website where students set their own goals.**

__Science__- Students will be exploring the question of if those basic needs are not meet what can be done by the living thing for survival?(move, adapt, or die). They will be investigating the habitat of a specific animal and how that animal adapts to its environment in order to meet its basic needs for survival. They will be writing a research report using the data they discover and also they will be building a 3-D model of their animals in their environments. Please send in a shoe box if you are able for the diorama.
